Auspicious Red and Gold Dessert Table for Oriental Chinese Wedding in Malaysia
The traditional Chinese Oriental wedding theme with complementing dessert table setup is a popular thing here in Malaysia. It’s theme colors are screaming red and gold. I call it screaming red because there are many kinds of red. From a dark matured red wine red, to pastel red. This red is the one that screams. How else would you describe it? The older generation would highly approve as it is an auspicious color representing good luck and vitality. It wouldn’t be my first time making traditional Oriental Chinese theme dessert setup to complement the wedding decorations, but in every occasion I will tweak the look slightly.
Setting the Chinese Oriental Theme From the Entrance
The signage board for the couple placed at the entrance of the banquet hall. Upon guests arrival, it would be the first information greeting the guests, therefore sets the theme for the event as well.
Dessert Table Setup in Screaming Red and Gold
The concept is to merge decorative theme items with desserts. Imagine Alice in Wonderland wandering along finding curiosities and stumbling on desserts where she can pick up and eat. Alice needs her cake! And that transforms her to a magical theme filled wonderland further enchancing her Oriental Chinese experience.
A theme dessert table is a level up from my previous guide on Three Different Styles of Dessert Table Presentation. It involves a bigger budget to deliver a more holistic experience. Therefore, I work with planners who covers that part while I focus on the desserts.
